It is recommended that suitable defoamers such as Octafoam 210 and Octafoam 665, in combination, are used with paints based on SP.

Disp600 is recommended as a very good pigment dispersant in paint based on SP.

SP is stable with a range of anticorrosive pigments. Best results are obtained with Halox SZP391, SP Green 140, Phosphinox PZ06 and Heucos SPO.

It is strongly recommended that Anticor P is used with SP 6026 to obtain optimum corrosion resistance properties.

Directive 2007/54/EC and does not require any.

STORAGE

To ensure safe storage of SP, containers should be well sealed to prevent evaporation of water and the formation of skin on the surface. The emulsion must be stored at a temperature above freezing. A temperature of 5- 25oC for not more than six months is recommended. Higher temperatures will affect quality and cause the formation of crusts and skins, especially if the containers are not tightly closed or subjected to direct sunlight for long periods.
